Bed room

• Get box beds – top opening or one with built-in side drawers.
• Get your carpenter to fix wall shelves that are at least 8” deep above the bedstead. Use them for items you may need at night – books, a torch, medicines, and a bottle of water. This eliminates the need for side-tables.
• Use wall mounted bedside lights instead of lamps.
• The space under beds can also be used. Get your carpenter to make flat wooden slabs with 1½’ beading and four wheels – shoes or magazines can be stacked on these (low high you stack depends on the space available under the bed). You can simply pull the “trolley” out when required.
